Giro D'Italia, Stage 8
Stage 8 proved us one thing. Domenico Pozzovivo is back to his best and continues his great form from Trentino. He looked superb on this 10km climb, attacking with about 7km to go and creating an instant gap that he held until the end. He lost some time on the flat, but that was too be expected. He might be the dark horse of this Giro... if he doesn't sick, as he usually does in the 3rd week. Tomorrow's is a rest day for climbers and a chance for sprinters to fight it for victory. It won't be easy for Cavendish with little climbs before a finish. Attackers might try something, my dark horse would be Pozzato. He's definitely hungry for a stage win in his home race and with such a brilliant kit, he has to win !
